At Matrix Insurance Agency, we offer a variety of group dental plans to suit your business’s needs. Our team works with you to find the best plan that balances affordability, coverage, and control, ensuring your workforce has access to quality dental care
Dental PPO plans have a larger network of dental providers, Flexibility to choose your dentist or dental facility, No referral needed to visit a specialist, there is out of network coverage.
The disadvantages of Dental PPO plans are (a) higher premium, (b) most services require copayment or co-insurance, (c) there is an annual maximum limit, e.g. $1,500, $2,000, etc a year.
Dental HMO plans are generally more affordable than Dental PPO plans, with lower premiums, lower copayments, and usually no annual maximum amount. The downsides are (a) much smaller network of dental providers, (b) no out of network coverage, (C) the plan may require you to select a primary dentist, (d) To visit a specialist, you may have to get a referral from your primary care dentist
ASO plans are sometimes called self-funded dental plans. With an ASO plan, the employer pays a monthly fee to an administrator to manage the plan. The employer is responsible for the employees’ dental claims. There are some ASO Level funded plans where the employer pays a fixed monthly rate to the insurance company and shares the financial risk with the insurance company.
